B-Empire Magazine was built on a simple conviction: the news that matters today doesn’t stop at borders. A political crisis in Washington, a wildfire in southwestern France, a record transfer in the Premier League, or an album release in Seoul are all, in their own way, part of the same connected world — and deserve to be told in more than one language, for more than one audience.
That ambition is what gave rise to B-Empire: a Franco-American magazine, bilingual by design rather than by translation. Our content isn’t simply carried over from one language to the other — it’s conceived, written, and edited for two audiences who share the same curiosity about the world but read differently.
Our editorial mission
We cover world news, business and finance, culture, sport, and entertainment — held to one common standard: every story is placed in its global context. A piece on an election doesn’t stop at the result; it explains why that result matters beyond the country in question. A piece on an artist doesn’t stop at their latest release; it places them within a wider cultural movement.
Our readers are citizens of the world: globally mobile professionals, Franco-American diaspora communities, culture enthusiasts, and decision-makers who need to understand what’s happening elsewhere, quickly and accurately. We write for people in a hurry who refuse to settle for the surface.
Editorial standards and fact-checking
Every article published on B-Empire goes through a verification process before it goes live: sourcing of the facts presented, cross-checking of any figures cited, and an editorial read-through before publication. When a story develops after publication, the article is updated and the update date is shown. When errors happen, they’re corrected openly rather than quietly removed.
Our newsroom
B-Empire is run by a small bilingual newsroom, structured to publish at the pace of global news rather than the pace of a single time zone. Every article is written and then edited before it’s published; the French and English editions are treated as two full editions in their own right, each built for its own readership.
