In an interview with France 24 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Anwar Gargash, senior diplomatic advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, accused Iran of dragging his country into an armed conflict.
He stated that the UAE has been targeted by 3,300 missiles and drones launched by Iran, marking a major escalation in the region.
Gargash also responded to remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who mentioned the possibility of negotiating with Iran or “annihilating” it. He warned that the current situation, described as “neither war nor peace,” is unsustainable and requires a swift resolution.
