Boeing announced on October 20, 2026, the launch of Dataliner, a new artificial intelligence platform aimed at optimizing the management of aeronautical data for airlines.
This innovative platform, developed in partnership with Microsoft, leverages Azure AI Foundry solutions and other technologies to transform fragmented data into connected intelligence at the fleet level. It combines aeronautical data, artificial intelligence, and Boeing’s deep aerospace engineering expertise.
Dataliner enables airlines to move beyond analyzing individual aircraft data to gain a comprehensive understanding of their entire fleet. This holistic view facilitates more informed operational and maintenance decisions, including anticipating needs and identifying emerging risks.
The platform also emphasizes data security, sovereignty, and control. Airlines can retain their data within their own environments while enriching it with information provided by Boeing and the industry. They maintain control over what they share and access Boeing intelligence through applications, APIs, analytical tools, and AI-assisted experiences.
Lindsey Douglas, Vice President of Boeing Global Services, highlights that although airlines have increasing volumes of data, leveraging it remains complex. Dataliner represents a major advancement by combining aerospace expertise with digital capabilities to help customers act proactively.
Chris Barry, President of Microsoft U.S. Public Sector Industries, adds that this partnership provides a secure and scalable foundation to transform disparate data into operational intelligence at the fleet scale.
