The qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) begin this Thursday, September 24, and will conclude on March 30, according to RFI.
Over these six months, 144 matches will be played by the 48 participating teams, divided into 12 groups.
The host countries, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, are expected to welcome the continent’s major football nations, while teams like Cape Verde and Ghana will seek to return to the competition after missing the previous edition.
Among the ten teams that have never participated in a CAN, one hopes to secure its first-ever qualification.
