Claude Leblanc, a railway specialist, considers trains to be a major diplomatic force for Africa’s future, according to RFI.
In his book The Geopolitics of the Train, published by Presses universitaires de France, he explains that the development of railways promotes national cohesion.
He also highlights that beyond China, other countries such as India and Turkey are actively investing in railway construction in Africa, thereby strengthening diplomatic ties.
