Climate change is jeopardizing the future of adolescent girls, warns the NGO Plan International in a report published on Sunday, October 11, coinciding with the International Day of the Girl Child.
The organization surveyed 5,000 adolescent girls and young women across five countries, including Senegal, Kenya, and Bangladesh. An overwhelming majority of them are already experiencing the effects of climate change, the study highlights.
