In DR Congo, the national population census has entered its practical phase, France 24 reported on September 30, 2026. Thousands of mapping agents will travel across the country to collect the necessary demographic data.
This large-scale operation, the first since 1984, is estimated to cost nearly $200 million. It aims to update information on the Congolese population, which is essential for national planning and development.
