Unions in France have called for a day of strikes and demonstrations among public sector workers, including train drivers, teachers, healthcare personnel, and police officers, to protest the government’s plan to freeze the salary index in the public service.
This mobilization comes as the government is set to soon present its draft budget for the year 2027, which includes this salary freeze measure.
