French firefighters began a strike on Monday, September 28, demanding more resources and personnel after the most devastating summer fires the country has seen in decades, reports France 24.
They are also expected to participate in the national civil servants’ protest on Tuesday, September 29, and may maintain their strike through October to exert pressure on the government ahead of the 2027 budget adoption.
