B-Empire Magazine

At the Malaysian Grand Prix, Audi missed the opportunity to score points in a race marked by a penalty and on-track incidents.

Gabriel Bortoleto, who started 10th, received a 10-second penalty following a collision with Carlos Sainz, an incident he acknowledged and apologized for. This penalty compromised his race, which was also affected by other issues.

Nico Hulkenberg, starting 15th, remained in contention for a point until the final lap but was overtaken by Arvid Lindblad, thus failing to score. The team was also fined for a dangerous pit stop during Hulkenberg’s restart.

Hulkenberg admitted that their overall performance was insufficient to secure a point, despite his clean race and personal satisfaction with his performance. Bortoleto expressed regret over the incident with Sainz and stated he is now focusing on the upcoming race in Singapore.
