Cameroonian Hermine Yollo has won the 2026 RFI Theatre Prize with her play Ima Maryam: The Judgment of Mary.
This work offers a powerful story centered on the figure of the Virgin Mary. It fearlessly questions religious dogmas and violence against women, while innovating both in form and by probing the meaning of words.
The prize will be awarded on Sunday, September 27, at Les Zébrures, the major festival of Francophone theatrical writing and creation, in Limoges.
