La Place celebrates its tenth anniversary as a central hub of Parisian hip-hop. Located beneath the Canopée des Halles, this venue of the City of Paris has established itself as a vital crossroads for rap, dance, visual arts, and debate.
To mark this milestone, a ten-day festival is being held, featuring more than fifty artists performing in succession. This celebration highlights the richness and diversity of the hip-hop scene in Paris.
On this occasion, Nina Masson hosted Julien Cholewa, director and programmer of La Place, along with Vicky R, Gabonese rapper, songwriter, and producer, to discuss this decade of struggles and emerging voices in hip-hop.
