Arvid Lindblad experienced a difficult weekend at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, notably after a crash during the second free practice session (FP2) in Baku, according to official Formula 1 reports.

The British driver admitted he “tried to be too special” and criticized his own performance following qualifying, where he finished 15th, behind his teammate Liam Lawson, who was 12th.

He explained that his difficulties mainly stemmed from the brakes, which made his car hard to handle on a circuit where braking is crucial. “Each corner presented a different problem, making it difficult to build a fast lap,” he said.

Lindblad also mentioned a lack of confidence linked to his FP2 crash, which deprived him of much running and forced him to use a different car from Lawson’s in qualifying.

Despite his frustration, he emphasized that he would not be discouraged and that he is learning to better manage such weekends, hoping to improve in the upcoming races of his rookie season.
