Max Verstappen claimed his first-ever Singapore Grand Prix win on Sunday evening, during his 10th participation, as announced by Formula 1.
The Red Bull driver, who had previously finished on the podium four times at Marina Bay, including back-to-back second places in 2024 and 2025, took the lead from the start ahead of Charles Leclerc, then controlled the race to secure victory.
This triumph, coinciding with his 250th Grand Prix start, marks a new milestone in an already successful 2026 season for Verstappen and Red Bull, who continue to rack up wins following recent technical improvements.
Verstappen stated: “It took some time, but this race was very good. We had the pace when it mattered, on both soft and medium tires, even though the latter were more challenging for everyone.”
This Singapore victory is the only one missing from Verstappen’s record on the current calendar, aside from the new Madring circuit.
