Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in France, was measured at 4,807.47 meters in September 2026, nearly two meters higher than its last measurement in 2023, French surveyors reported on Wednesday.
Since 2001, researchers have conducted surveys every two to three years to better understand the effects of climate change on the Alps. This new height may reflect changes related to these phenomena.
