McLaren and Red Bull Secure Norris and Verstappen Through 2030 in F1

Lando Norris announced in August 2026 a contract extension with McLaren that binds him at least until the end of the 2030 season, marking his twelfth season with the papaya team.

Max Verstappen, after months of speculation and talks with McLaren, signed a new contract with Red Bull through the end of 2030, extending his initial commitment from 2028. This decision reflects his confidence in Red Bull’s ability to regain competitiveness.

George Russell, a Mercedes driver since 2022, has had his contract confirmed through 2026. He specified that his agreement is multi-year and that he will indeed be with Mercedes in 2027. The team has also retained Kimi Antonelli for the 2027 season, forming a stable duo.
