The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published its quarterly report on global economic outlook on Wednesday, September 23. Despite shocks caused by the crisis in the Middle East and its impact on hydrocarbon prices, the global economy has shown notable resilience in recent months.
As a result, the OECD has revised its forecasts upwards for the end of the current year. However, for 2027, the organization lowered its global growth forecast from 3.1% to 3%, anticipating a more uncertain period ahead, explained Stefano Scarpetta, OECD Chief Economist and report coordinator.
