The Strait of Hormuz, a strategic passage for international commodity trade, remains blocked by Iran since the beginning of the Middle East conflict, according to RFI.

Despite this blockade, negotiations between the United States and Tehran regarding the situation have progressed, enabling a significant resumption of oil transit through the strait in recent days.

However, the situation remains very unstable, and oil barrel prices are expected to stay high for the time being, RFI reports.
