At the Paris Motor Show, more than one-third of the car manufacturers exhibiting are Chinese, France 24 highlighted on Thursday.
These brands now account for 10% of car sales within the European Union. In China, automotive sales are declining, prompting Beijing to offload its surplus production onto the European market.
In response to this pressure, Brussels aims to protect its automotive industry. An agreement has been reached between the EU and China, limiting annual imports of Chinese hybrid vehicles to 350,000 units.
