Rabbiatu Kuyateh, like several others, was arrested, detained, and then expelled from the United States despite having spent decades on American soil, where she had worked and paid taxes.
These expulsions affect individuals who had built their lives in the United States but who, overnight, find themselves sent to countries they do not know, without resources or a clearly established status.
These details come from the investigation “The Deportation Project” and were explained by Karina Chabour, journalist, and Lise Kiennemann, journalist for Les Observateurs at France 24.
