B-Empire Magazine

On January 12, 2019, a gas explosion devastated Rue de Trévise in Paris, killing four people and injuring and displacing hundreds. Seven years after this tragedy, victims and survivors continue to endure the profound consequences of the event.

The victims, including Linda, Amroche, Vanessa, and Eric, saw their lives upended that morning. They carry physical and psychological scars from the explosion, have lost jobs, and must rebuild their lives after their apartments were destroyed.

Starting Tuesday, October 20, 2026, these survivors will testify in the trial opposing the Paris city hall and the property manager, aiming to have their damages officially recognized. This trial represents a significant step in the victims’ pursuit of justice, seven years after the tragedy.
