Searches took place at the European Parliament as part of an investigation targeting the former Identity and Democracy group, now dissolved, which included the Rassemblement national, the Patriots group, now including the RN, announced on Wednesday.
The European Public Prosecutor’s Office specified that these investigative actions concern suspicions of misappropriation of European funds within this far-right group.
This operation is part of a broader investigation into the management of funds allocated to political groups at the European Parliament, with a particular focus on Identity and Democracy, which has since been dissolved.
