Sidya Touré, former Prime Minister of Guinea and president of the Union of Republican Forces (UFR), passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Paris at the age of 81.
Twice a presidential candidate, he had been living in exile in Abidjan in recent years and was unable to see his country again before his death.
Since the announcement of his passing, tributes have multiplied in Guinea, both within his political family and among those who accompanied him through several decades of public life.
