The return to Earth of astronaut Sophie Adenot, following her space mission, is far from a romantic moment, reports France 24 in its “Behind the Image” column.
According to Sylvain Rousseau, the mission does not end with the capsule’s splashdown: the first days are marked by intense physical fatigue, disorientation, intensive muscle rehabilitation, as well as medical tests and psychological monitoring.
These steps are essential to enable astronauts to regain their normal capacities after the extreme conditions of space.
