Maricarmen Abascal, an octogenarian who has become a symbol of Spain’s housing crisis, will be able to return to her home, her lawyer announced on September 28, according to RFI.
This announcement comes as protesters camp for the third consecutive night under tents at Puerta del Sol, in the heart of Madrid, to pressure the government.
The government is set to soon present a housing decree to Parliament, which is at the center of the demonstrators’ demands.
