Starshield Slows Coordination of Drone Strikes in Ukraine, Says Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that speed limits of the US military satellite system Starshield are slowing the response of Ukrainian frontline forces. According to him, units on the front have reported that the Starshield equipment stops functioning at speeds between 130 and 160 kilometers per hour in several sectors.

This technical constraint affects the coordination of drone strikes against Russian forces, thereby limiting the effectiveness of Ukrainian operations.

Additionally, a brigade of the Ukrainian army announced it had carried out the first evacuation of a soldier wounded by drone. A published video shows the drone landing on the ground, a man in combat gear securing himself to a winch before being hoisted aboard, illustrating a major innovation in frontline rescue operations.
