On Friday, October 2, more than 400 high schools in France are blocked as part of a new day of student mobilization, following over ten days of demonstrations.
Students are demanding increased resources and improved conditions in their institutions, while the mobilization is also spreading to universities.
The government has condemned “urban violence” linked to these social movements.
On the same day, the Minister of Education, Édouard Geffray, is scheduled to meet with high school student associations and parent groups to discuss the situation.
