A new student protest is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13 in France, marking Act V of the mobilization that began in mid-September, according to RFI.
At the heart of the demands is the removal of Parcoursup, the online platform that organizes the orientation of high school students after the baccalaureate. This platform uses algorithms criticized for their opacity and what is seen as incoherent logic.
The main student and high school unions also denounce selection criteria they consider discriminatory, fueling ongoing discontent and persistent mobilization.
