Tear Gas Used Against High School Students and Journalists in Aubervilliers

On the morning of October 2, at Le Corbusier High School in Aubervilliers, students were blocking the school when tensions escalated.

Gates were forced open, leading to clashes with law enforcement. According to several witnesses and France 24 journalist Pauline Godart, police deployed tear gas without warning.

Both students and journalists present were affected by the gas.

The situation has since calmed. A general assembly is underway to decide on the next steps of the movement within the school.
