In Senegal, the judiciary has made three initial charges in the investigation into political violence that shook the country between 2021 and 2024.
According to RFI, on Tuesday, September 22, a security officer on the campus of Cheikh-Anta-Diop University in Dakar was placed in preventive detention. Additionally, two other individuals, members of the team of former Youth Minister Pape Malick Ndour, were placed under judicial supervision.
These measures come two years after a complaint was filed for “illegal detention and kidnapping” by Pastef activist Pape Abdoulaye Touré, who initiated the investigation.
