Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan declared on Saturday, September 19, that Turkey is ready to assist Saudi Arabia in facing attacks from the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
He recalled that Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia have been bound since early August by a collective defense pact called the “Mecca Pact.”
This pact stipulates that an attack against any one of the three countries will be considered an aggression against all, thereby strengthening their military and political cooperation.
