The delegations from the United States and China held talks on Sunday in New York described as “successful” and “constructive” regarding artificial intelligence and trade, ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Washington scheduled for later this week.
Both sides discussed establishing a dialogue mechanism on artificial intelligence amid growing concerns about security related to this technology.
Additionally, they prepared to ease trade tensions as a current truce is set to expire in November.
