The 2026-2027 shea marketing campaign has been officially launched in several producing countries across West Africa, RFI reported on Thursday, September 29, 2026.
Shea is primarily used in cosmetics but also in culinary preparations where it replaces cocoa butter. However, once again this year, the shea trade is disrupted by export restrictions that have been in place for two years, hindering commercial exchanges of the product across the African continent.
