Johannes Andreas Grib Fibiger, born on April 23, 1867, in Silkeborg, Denmark, was a Danish physician and researcher. He is best known for his discovery of Spiroptera carcinoma, a parasite linked to certain cancers in animals. In 1926, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for this discovery. Fibiger passed away on January 30, 1928.
