Le Duc Tho, born on October 14, 1911, in Nam Ha province, Vietnam, was a Vietnamese politician and diplomat. He is best known for his role in the peace negotiations that led to a ceasefire in Vietnam in 1973. In recognition of his efforts, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize the same year. Le Duc Tho passed away on October 13, 1990.
