Theodor Svedberg, born on August 30, 1884, in Fleräng, Sweden, was a Swedish chemist known for his contributions to the science of disperse systems. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1926 for his innovative work in this field. Svedberg was also a pioneer in the use of centrifugation to study the properties of colloids. He passed away on February 25, 1971.
