A major archaeological discovery was announced on Wednesday, September 23, in Paris: a stone and wood wall unearthed in the heart of the capital could be the oldest Gallic architectural remnant ever found in the city.

The mayor of Paris stated that these ruins are “probably the oldest masonry architectural discovery in Paris by the Gauls.” It is considered that this wall may be a rampart erected by the Parisii tribe more than 2,000 years ago.
