Kyrylo Berkal, deputy commander of Ukraine’s Third Army Corps, emphasized that the most powerful force in the current conflict is human potential. According to him, although Ukraine is often outnumbered and outgunned, the response lies in the adaptability and determination of its soldiers.
Berkal explains that the Ukrainian army grants soldiers and sergeants the freedom to innovate on the battlefield, developing technologies from the tactical level and seeking to outthink and outmaneuver the adversary through initiative and reflection.
He cites Operation Vivaldi as a concrete example of this philosophy, embodying the priority given to human initiative and tactical innovation in Ukraine’s struggle.
