Louvre Museum Blocked by Students in Support of High School Protesters

On Monday, October 19, access to the Louvre Museum was blocked by students from the École du Louvre who demonstrated their support for the high school movement and denounced police repression. This blockade prevented the museum from opening normally at 9 a.m. The management stated the museum was used as a platform for expression, unrelated directly to the mobilization. A new day of protest is planned for October 24 by the 'yellow vests'.

On Monday, October 19, access to the Louvre Museum was blocked by students from the École du Louvre. They demonstrated to express their support for the high school movement and to denounce what they called “police repression.”

According to the museum’s management, this movement has no direct connection to the Louvre itself, which is being used as an “echo chamber” by the protesters. As a result, the museum was unable to open its doors normally at 9 a.m.

Furthermore, a new day of social mobilization is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, organized by the “yellow vests” coordination.
