Indonesia has been facing forest fires of unprecedented scale for eleven years, particularly in the regions of Sumatra and Borneo.
These fires produce toxic smoke that degrades air quality far beyond Indonesia’s borders, affecting Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and even Vietnam.
In response to this critical situation, international aid is being organized to support Indonesia in combating these fires, according to RFI.
