On Thursday, October 8, 224 high schools in France remain fully closed as part of the fourth day of student protests, according to the Ministry of National Education.

This new day of mobilization follows strong participation on Tuesday, October 6, when many high school and university students demonstrated to demand increased resources.

In total, 151 schools are also partially closed this Thursday.

In response to this crisis, the government is making multiple conciliatory gestures in an effort to end the movement.
