Nearly a week after hostilities resumed in northern Ethiopia, the federal army has intensified its counter-offensive on multiple fronts, according to RFI.

On Sunday, September 27, a drone struck the public television station of the Tigray region, located in Mekelle, a city under the control of Tigrayan rebel forces (TDF).

Additionally, clashes have been reported south of Tigray, in the Alamata area, approximately 400 kilometers north of Addis Ababa. The capture of this town could influence the course of the conflict.
