Meta announced on September 29 the launch of Forum, an application specially designed for users wishing to deepen their experience within Facebook groups.

Synchronized with the user’s Facebook groups, Forum consolidates all discussions in one place, making it easier to access updates and important conversations. The app also introduces new tools for group administrators, with additional features planned in the coming weeks.

Since May, Forum has been in testing phase, and Meta today presents new features, notably a new role aimed at recognizing the most active and helpful members in their communities. This role replaces the former contributor badges and expert role, and is assigned based on the quality of contributions such as answering questions, sharing experiences, or initiating discussions. This role grants access to a specific badge and benefits like faster post approvals. Administrators can assign this role directly, and Meta also offers automatic nominations to help identify these key members.

Forum also integrates Ask, a function using artificial intelligence to search through posts and comments in Facebook groups, helping users find answers based on real experiences. Ask notably allows users to compare options or revisit previous searches through personalized suggestions.

The app is available in the United States on iOS and Android, accessible via the user’s Facebook account, enabling them to find their groups and discover new ones.
