For the first time since the attack that claimed Samuel Paty’s life on October 16, 2020, cameras from France Télévisions were allowed to enter the middle school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, in the Yvelines department.

In this school marked by tragedy, 200 high school students followed the trial of the professor’s murder. These young people then took up the pen to recount their experience and share their feelings with the current middle school students.

This initiative, called “Generation Paty,” aims to preserve the memory of this tragic event and raise students’ awareness about freedom of expression and republican values.
