Author Katie Kitamura, whose latest book “Audition” has been nominated for the Pulitzer and Booker Prize, explained to France 24 that her work is designed as a creation written not only by herself but also alongside the reader.
“Audition” tells the story of a renowned actress whose life is upended when a charismatic young man claims to be her son. Kitamura explores how each person plays different roles in their life and the interaction between these roles.
She shared these reflections during her interview on France 24’s Perspective program.
