The San Sebastián Film Festival continues its commitment to the remembrance of the Spanish Civil War and the Franco dictatorship. As in the previous year, it presents several fiction films and documentaries that shed light on the July 1936 military uprising and its consequences.
These screenings also serve as a form of atonement, notably by showing films that were once censored, thereby contributing to a better understanding and recognition of this historical period that has often been denied or forgotten.
