Argentine President Javier Milei threatened on Monday to sue the United Kingdom over the Sea Lion oil project located near the Falkland Islands, a territory claimed by Argentina but administered by the UK.
This region remains sensitive due to the 1982 war between the two countries, which resulted in 255 British and 649 Argentine deaths.
The companies Navitas and Rockhopper, developing the project, assert they hold valid exploration licenses issued by British authorities.
