On October 4, 2026, Saturn will reach opposition, an astronomical event where Earth lies between the Sun and Saturn. This will make the ringed planet visible all night, offering an exceptional viewing opportunity, according to NASA.

On October 21-22, the Orionids meteor shower, caused by debris from Halley’s Comet, will reach its peak. However, the presence of a bright gibbous Moon may reduce meteor visibility. NASA advises that the best viewing period will be just before dawn, after the Moon has set.

Finally, on the night of October 27-28, the Moon will pass near the Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters, a celestial spectacle appreciated since antiquity.
