Thélyson Orélien, a Canadian-Haitian writer, stated on Tuesday that his book C’était ça ou mourir was not written by artificial intelligence, refuting accusations that led to the book’s removal by the Académie Goncourt.
In a statement sent to AFP, the author acknowledged having plagiarized texts from recognized authors after his arrival in Canada, but firmly denied that any sentences in his book were created by AI.
