Violence in Yemen escalated again this week, notably with a strike attributed to the Houthis that killed more than 70 people at a government forces camp on October 19, according to RFI.

Since this summer, the fighting has displaced over 250,000 people across the country. Many of them are now trapped in the city of Taiz, located in southwestern Yemen, an area currently under Houthi control.

In response to this critical humanitarian situation, the United Nations (UN) is demanding immediate access to Taiz to enable the delivery of essential aid to populations trapped by the siege.
